# Overview

> Scope and concepts required by an integrating system.

The ExuraCopy MAM API allows a CRM or backend to manage copy-trading relationships between MetaTrader 5 accounts. The integration operates on a single account entity and assigns capabilities according to the role it plays in each relationship.

## Essential concepts

> Represents an MT5 account publicly identified by `mt5_login`. An account may be eligible as a leader, follower, or both.

>
> Extends an account authorized to originate allocations. It contains the strategy presentation and subscription parameters.

>
> Relationship between an account that originates trades and another that receives them. Its configuration includes mode, limits, unsubscription policy, and performance fee.

>
> Segregated MT5 account that receives the leader's performance fees. It does not participate in copy trading.

> The API does not create separate entities named *master* or *investor*. `leader` and `follower` describe the role of two MAM accounts within an allocation.

## Integrator responsibilities

Your system preserves the relationship between its customers and the identifiers returned by the API:

| Data | Purpose |
| - | - |
| `mt5_login` | Retrieve, fund, withdraw from, and relate the account. |
| `leader_id` | Update the public profile and its terms. |
| `allocation_id` | Retrieve, modify, or terminate a relationship. |
| `payment_account_login` | Reconcile leader revenue. Treat it as sensitive data. |
| `idempotency_key` | Repeat an operation without duplicating its effect. |
| `event_id` | Prevent processing a webhook twice. |
